Interventions
Sensory Integration Practitioners
Our sensory practitioners are here to support children with sensory processing difficulties (SPD) by creating personalised strategies to help them thrive in school.
Here’s how they can help:
- Develop Tailored Sensory Plans: They design "sensory diets," which are specific activities and accommodations that give children the sensory input they need to feel calm, focused, and ready to learn.
- Provide Practical Support: They can advise teachers, families, and other professionals to make sure the strategies are effective both at school and home.
- Enhance Daily Experiences: By helping children process sensory information more effectively, they can help improve attention, behaviour, and participation in the classroom and beyond.
- Support a Range of Needs: Whether a child has autism, ADHD, developmental delays, or other conditions, our practitioners are trained to provide the right support for their unique challenges.

Emotion Coaches

- Teach Emotional Regulation: By helping children recognise and understand their emotions, our coaches guide them toward more effective ways of handling their feelings and behaviours.
- Provide Empathetic Support: Through compassionate and empathetic interactions, children feel heard and understood, fostering a sense of safety and connection.
- Validate Emotions: Our coaches verbally acknowledge and validate the child’s feelings, helping them feel secure and emotionally supported.
- Promote Calmness: This approach helps activate positive changes in the child’s neurological system, allowing them to calm down both mentally and physically.
- Build Confidence and Resilience: Over time, children learn to better manage their emotions and behaviours, empowering them to navigate social and academic situations with greater confidence.

Drawing and talking
Our Drawing and Talking sessions provide children with a safe, creative way to explore and express their emotions. Here’s how this approach can support your child:
- Encourage Emotional Expression: Through drawing and storytelling, children can process and communicate their feelings in a relaxed, non-pressured way.
- Non-Directed Approach: Unlike solution-focused or cognitive-based therapies, this technique allows children to lead the process, exploring emotions at their own pace.
- Provide a Safe Space: The sessions create a secure and supportive environment where children feel free to share and work through their thoughts and feelings.
- Support Emotional Growth: By using creativity as a tool, Drawing and Talking helps children build emotional awareness and resilience.
- Improve Wellbeing: Over time, this process can reduce anxiety, build self-esteem, and help children manage their emotions more effectively.
